My first photographic job was as a photographer at a Scientific Research station in Oxford photographing WEEDS !!!!! well you can have the most beautiful rose but if its growing in a field of wheat then its in the wrong place and then it is a WEED. I was also a senior photographer for the department of Particle and Astro Physics at the University of Oxford, my role was to photograph all the research work carried out by the department so I was involved in the photography of experiments on the Zeus experiments at the Desy Lab in Hamburg. The Delphi experiment at Cern in Switzerland , latter on I took the first photographs of the new L.H.C. (Atlas) experiment at Cern . I was also asked to photograph the dark matter experiments at the Gran Sasso lab in Italy.
Wedding photography has been a passion of mine for many years , I photographed my first wedding in 1980 and over the year I've been fortunate to have worked with some wonderful brides and grooms who have put trust in me to capture THEIR day for them . No two weddings are the same, so you have to blend and fit in with all sorts of situations and problems and try to get the best out of the couple and thats were the Trust comes in , be enthusiastic and you win people over, think of their needs and all of a sudden your a best friend ! have a plan for their day and you have won them over.
Over the year I've been very lucky to have won many awards, I've spoken both in the UK for The Guild of Wedding Photographers, S.W.P.P. The Master Photographers Association, and the B.I.P.P. I was also honored to be asked to speak at W.P.P.I in Las Vegas and to have judged at the 16x20 print competition.
